These terms are the agreement between you and Gogter. By creating an account you accept them, so they are written to be read rather than skipped.

1. Who can use Gogter

You must be 18 or over. There are no exceptions. We ask for your date of birth when you join and refuse accounts below 18. If we find out somebody under 18 has an account, we delete it.

You must also be legally allowed to use a service like this where you live, and you must not have been removed from Gogter before.

2. Your account

One person, one account. You are responsible for what happens on your account and for keeping access to it secure.

You sign in with Google, Apple, or your phone number and a one-time code. Keep that method secure — anybody who can receive your code can reach your account.

Be yourself. Your photos must be of you, your name must be the one you go by, and your age must be real. Impersonating somebody else is grounds for immediate removal.

3. What you post

You keep ownership of your photos, videos, voice recordings and text. By posting them you give us permission to store, display and distribute them within Gogter so the app can function — showing your profile to other members, delivering your messages, playing your voice prompts.

That permission covers running the service and nothing else. We do not sell your content, use it in advertising, or use it to train third-party models.

What you must not post

  • Anybody else's photos, or images you have no right to use
  • Nudity or sexual content
  • Content that is violent, hateful, or harasses anybody
  • Anything involving minors
  • Contact details or links intended to move people to another platform for commercial reasons
  • Anything advertising a service, soliciting money, or promoting a scam

We may remove content and suspend or delete accounts that break these rules, and we do not have to warn you first.

4. How you behave towards other people

Gogter exists so people can meet. That only works if it is safe.

  • No harassment. If somebody stops replying, that is an answer
  • No threats, intimidation or hate, including on grounds of race, religion, gender, sexuality, disability or nationality
  • No sexual content sent to somebody who did not ask for it
  • No requests for money, no investment offers, no "opportunities"
  • Do not share private conversations, photos or details of another member anywhere else

You can block and report anybody, at any point, from their profile or your conversation. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team.

5. Meeting in person

Gogter does not screen members for criminal history. Face verification confirms a real person is behind an account. It does not confirm they are safe, honest, or who they say they are in any other respect.

You meet people at your own risk. Meet in public. Tell somebody where you are going. Arrange your own transport. We are not responsible for what happens between members offline.

6. Location features

Several features use your location, and you choose which ones:

  • Showing you people nearby, and how far away they are
  • Hearts — leaving a note at a real place for somebody who goes there later. You must physically be at the place to leave one or pick one up
  • Paths Crossed — telling you when you and somebody else have been in the same place, which uses background location

Your exact location is never shown to another member. They see an approximate distance, never coordinates and never an address.

You can turn any of this off in your phone's settings or in the app. Features that depend on location stop working; the rest of the app does not.

7. Hearts, subscriptions and money

Hearts

Hearts are the in-app currency. You can buy them, earn them through bonuses and referrals, and spend them on things like Flares, extending a Heart at a venue, and saving a photo somebody sent you.

Hearts have no cash value. They cannot be exchanged for money, transferred to another account, or redeemed anywhere outside Gogter. Unspent Hearts are lost when an account is deleted.

Subscriptions

Paid plans unlock features such as unlimited likes, seeing who liked you, extra filters, private mode and increased visibility. What each plan includes is shown on the plans screen before you buy.

All purchases are processed by Apple. We never see your card details.

  • Payment is taken by Apple when you confirm
  • Auto-renewing subscriptions renew automatically unless you turn renewal off at least 24 hours before the period ends
  • Manage or cancel renewal in your Apple ID settings, not in Gogter. We cannot cancel it for you
  • Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription

Refunds

Refunds are handled by Apple under their policy, and requested through Apple. We cannot issue refunds for App Store purchases.

Where the law gives you a right to cancel or a refund, that right stands regardless of anything in this section.

Prices

We may change prices. A change never affects a period you have already paid for.

8. What we promise, and what we do not

We work to keep Gogter running and safe, but:

  • We do not promise you will meet anybody. No match, date or relationship is guaranteed
  • We do not promise the app is always available. It may be down for maintenance or for reasons beyond our control
  • We do not verify what members tell you beyond confirming a real person is behind the account
  • We may change, add or remove features. If a change materially reduces something you have paid for, we will tell you

To the extent the law allows, Gogter is provided as is, and our liability is limited to what you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud — because the law does not allow that, and it should not.

9. Ending your account

You can leave at any time. Settings → Account → Delete account.

Deletion is scheduled, not instant. Your profile stops being visible immediately, and there is a grace period before anything is permanently erased. Signing back in during that window cancels the deletion — a decision made at 2am should be reversible in the morning.

We can end your account if you break these terms, if you put somebody at risk, or if we are required to. Where it is reasonable to explain why, we will.

A message you have already sent stays visible to the person you sent it to, as it would in any conversation.

10. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms we will update this page and change the date at the top. Where a change is significant, we will tell you in the app. Continuing to use Gogter after that means you accept the change.

11. Contact

Questions about these terms: [SUPPORT EMAIL — to be confirmed]

Child Safety Standards

Gogter is limited to people aged 18 or older and prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM). You must not create, upload, share, request, promote or distribute content that sexually abuses, exploits or endangers children. Grooming, sexual solicitation of minors, sexual extortion involving children, trafficking, and generated or manipulated material depicting child sexual abuse are prohibited.

Use the in-app Report option on a profile or in a conversation to report a concern. You may also contact [CHILD SAFETY EMAIL — to be confirmed]. Do not send suspected CSAM as an email attachment.

We prioritise child-safety reports, remove or disable access to CSAM when we become aware of it, and restrict, suspend or terminate offending accounts in accordance with applicable law. We preserve relevant records where legally required and report confirmed CSAM to NCMEC or the relevant regional authority, as applicable. Our designated child-safety representative handles these concerns and notifications from Google Play.

The Child Safety Standards in our Privacy Policy describe our reporting and enforcement process.
